The BBC Focus layer provides lucky Layar users with a list of retailers where you can pick up a copy of the BBC Focus science and technology magazine, and all of the hands-on science and discovery centres around the UK.
It has over 10,000 entries so the chances of finding a copy near you are very high.

Geocoding 10,000 entries for UK addresses, (getting the latitude/longitude), was no small feat. We used the Geocoding service from Googles Maps API to begin with. It was quite good but we were limited to just 2,500 requests in any 24 hour period, and some of the addresses weren’t recognised at first, one of the short-comings of the geocoding service, so we used up valuable requests by trying.
Inevitably there were a bunch of addresses that would not return geocoded locations, so we found the values by using Google Earth. There are other services available, but it seems Google are the key players in this field.
